Claire Moynihan is an artist from the rural area of Hertfordshire, England where she creates tiny sculptural insects and snails on felt balls using a variety of freeform embroidery techniques. After completing a collection of work Moynihan then organizes the pieces inside traditional entomological boxes which from a distance could almost pass for the real thing.

Huang Yong Ping
Huang Yong Ping is a French/Chinese contemporary artist, who created this fascinating  sculpture of a aluminium and stainless steel snake skeleton. His inspiration was a anaconda which is one of the largest snakes in the world. The snake plays a prominent role in much of Ping's artwork, as the symbol of the serpant is classed as a good omen in chinese culture.

Peter McFarlane
Peter McFarlane is a mixed media and installation artist who has spent his life turning objects, computer waste and other materials into simple sculptures, installations ans sometimes he puts them on the back of his paintings as backdrops. i have chosen these two images as they attracted my attention by the way the metal is bent on the feather and the bird is placed it just shows that art is achievable in anyway possible also they both interlink with the project.

Gregor Wosik
Gregor Wosik mainly specialises in detailed reproductions, oil pastels and emphasizes the particular expression or the personality of the subject. His works are drew mainly on pavements so they are 2D but they give off an illusion of it being 3D as Gregor uses the light and shadow to his advantage.

Riusuke Fukahori

Riusuke Fukahori is a Japanese artist who uses acrylic and resin to draw goldfish layer by layer to achieve a 3D effect which is close to a sculpture. once he has finished the finished product is very realistically looking goldfishes that have been frozen in time swimming in a single moment in time going no where.

2D Artists
Chris shields

Chris shields is the artist who painted this picture using vibrant colours to capture the true colours of he butterfly, the inspiration for this drawing was a peacock butterfly. Shields is an award winning artist and a wildlife illustrator. http://www.chris-shields.com/chriss.html here's a link to his page.

Bé van der Heide

Bé van der Heide uses various materials to draw these sketches she mainly uses acrylic paints, charcoal and coffee grounds on the canvas' that she uses. The inspiration for these paintings is insects and on her website she quotes on it that she likes to draw animals as she once found a dead seagull on a path so she took it home and drew from it and she goes on to say that its not a morbid drawing when you draw it, it seems to come to life.

Albrecht Durer
Albrecht Durer was a German painter from Nuremberg. he has many famous works that include the apocalypse woodcuts, knight, Death and the devil. the two pictures I have chosen show colour and skill that he didn't always use the same type of art form such as he didn't always use paints nor use pencil all the time.

Bill Flowers
Bill flowers is an Australian painter, cartoonist, animator and a snake wrangler. He lives in Ulverstone Tasmania. He mainly works on wildlife based works and cartoon animations. In the video below it shows him and some of the drawings that he does but with a huge twist.

Dean Crouser
Dean Crouser is a painter who works mainly around animals as he has a love of fishing and spent his summers camping where he could use his passion for fishing and painting and combining them together. He uses bright and intriguing colours to attract the attention of the persons eye as they haven't seen this type of art millions of times over. The inspiration got for this painting is a crow and the painting is named "Trouble" as crow can be associated with trouble as they like to steal shiny things as shiny stuff attract they're attention so the artist has attracted my attention with the colours.

Ronald Swanwick
Ronald Swanwick is an artist that uses various types of materials to create his work some of the materials can include oil paintings, pastels, chalk, pencil etc... He is based in Gloucestershire, he offers a training service to help people gain more skills but you have to pay for his services. The picture that i have chosen of his work is a oil painting of a golden eagle which in my opinion Ronald has captured very well.
